I poked at adding timezone columns, but by the time the time is accessible to the template it's already a string. We'd have to mess around with defining a jinja filter somewhere. @mxsasha got any thoughts here?

mxsasha commented 1 year ago

Multi-timezone rendering is in 3c71c8ae54834049295300861255f0f6059db9fc. A few notes:

Make sure you refresh the CSS too when looking at the preview.

I believe I double checked, but please also check that the times are correct, before sending it out :)

Cool! Thanks @mxsasha!

Can we split those into 3 separate columns somehow? (I've not looked and won't be able to before heading out)

UTC CEST EDT
10:00 12:00 06:00 Platform opens
10:30 12:30 06:30 Hallway track - Chat with other attendees

Not in this timeframe. Also not sure whether it makes it that much clearer, for a lot of HTML and CSS rejigging. And during the event people have Hopin in their own tz.

FWIW I think it it would be much clearer. But timeframes, and Hopin, ack.

@plaindocs @thatdocslady blog post on https://writethedocs-www--1982.org.readthedocs.build/conf/atlantic/2023/news/announcing-schedule/ - (needs updating of publication date once final. and t-shirt deadline from Mikey)

thatdocslady commented 1 year ago

The t-shirt cutoff date is listed in the product pages on shirt.writethedocs.org, for Atlantic it's October 31st (spooky edition!)

Let's :+1: and merge this?

mxsasha commented 1 year ago

Looks great, I suggest to hold off on merging until we have the mailchimp audience segment sorted (I believe there was a convo in Slack about it recently)

That was sorted :)
