10 years ago My thinking about that was to emphasize that it's a slider and there's more content that can be viewed. But I can see your point, the nav arrows are abundantly obvious anyway.

I'm not loving the semi-transparent dark rectangles behind the slider side arrows on the Portfolio page. They go away when the page is less than full width and give it a cleaner look.
