Devise a network that accepts as input the social and emotional primitives for an identity and generates a social and emotional response. In initial development, the training scheme shall use sets of pre-processed human-to-human interactions in which the socioemotional primitives of one member, say, the actor are taken as the stimulus for the axiomatic ground-truth socioemotional primitives of the other member.

Given the fidelity to be operated at, the suspicion is that there will be a tradeoff between authenticity and network depth unless special processor architectures are pursued. In any case, as the network progresses toward fully connected, handles to the inferred psychological states of the stimulus should be made available for more analytic methods to be used by the regulation network. In fact, even the choice of handles might warrant prioritization as a matter of converging to the appropriate social norms as rapidly as possible.

In cases where the regulator seeks to override the emotional response, direct control of the socioemotional output is acceptable as long as some sort of smoothing is implemented. A more nuanced treatment in which the regulator generates hallucinations for purposes of influencing the state will be reserved for much later development.
