Here is some feedback on your first homework First of all, thank you for making a personable repository, I really appreciated learning more about you and your path. I think you did a good job at completing the requested assignment and left clear and concise instructions on your process.

Overall, since the requirements for the assignment were general, I think your homework complies to what was requested. However, I would encourage you to consult the raw files of the stat545 resources and to explore additional features of R Markdown (e.g. gif insertion, tables, R code insert, etc.). I found this R Markdown cheat sheet very useful, so I highly recommend it to you !

• Overall, the README file is mostly well-formated, with just some minor issues of image positioning.
• The README applies a variety of different Markdown syntax options: generate headers, point form lists, inclusion of images, hyperlinking and font styles.
• An explanation of the process taken to generate the README file is provided and also detailed. Multiple different resources were used to learn about Markdown, Git, RStudio, etc.
• The README provides an appropriate introduction to Wade but could be developed a little more. Perhaps another paragraph or section about himself.

Gapminder Dataset Exploration:

• Unfortunately, no attempt was made to examine the Gapminder dataset. This may have been due to Wade having issues with Git and/or Github, but this is not addressed.

Additional Remarks:

• Another few resources I recommend if you are struggling with R by any chance, Wade, is using the help documentation or StackOverflow. Those two resources were the biggest help to me when I first started out coding in R. When using a new function, use the help documentation. If that's too confusing (or the documentation is not well written), then I suggest looking it up on StackOverflow. Those are super useful tools.
• I think you have a good grasp of Markdown syntax. Vincenzo also suggested in class using Daring Fireball's Tutorial on Markdown syntax which I also found to be useful.

Hi @wswade2 Here are some comments about your assignment:

Overall it is a good start. I encourage you to practice the exercises in class and if you are stuck with something use the office hours/e-mail (or other colleagues) to clarify doubts. Learning a new language (programming) is challenging but with practice, you can master it. I appreciate that you have sought other sources (youtube) to find a solution, that's a good one! I also recommend that just create/re-name one repository, within it, you can create your homework and put them in folders. Do not hesitate in contact any of the TAs if you have doubts. I could not find the link to the Gapminder exploration, let me know if I missed it up.
