Dear Wade,

I have created this issue and took the liberty to tag the STAT545 team as recommended: @vincenzocoia @gvdr @ksedivyhaley @joeybernhardt @mynamedaike @pgonzaleze @derekcho

I think you might have to also add the STAT545 team to your repository as collaborators.

Here is some feedback on your first homework First of all, thank you for making a personable repository, I really appreciated learning more about you and your path. I think you did a good job at completing the requested assignment and left clear and concise instructions on your process.

The link you created does not work. When I looked at your history/raw file, I noted you wrote this: You can view the STAT 545 webpage here.

In order for the link to work, you need to precede with http, as followed: You can view the STAT 545 webpage here. or You can view the STAT 545 webpage here

Overall, since the requirements for the assignment were general, I think your homework complies to what was requested. However, I would encourage you to consult the raw files of the stat545 resources and to explore additional features of R Markdown (e.g. gif insertion, tables, R code insert, etc.). I found this R Markdown cheat sheet very useful, so I highly recommend it to you !

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Warm regards, My Linh Thibodeau

Hi @wswade2 Here are some comments about your assignment:

Correctly named issue: No (Collaborator did it) SHA: No (optional)  Link to work to be reviewed: No Use  4 or more aspects of markdown: Yes Reflections  / how it was done: Yes Gapminder exploration: No

Overall it is a good start. I encourage you to practice the exercises in class and if you are stuck with something use the office hours/e-mail (or other colleagues) to clarify doubts. Learning a new language (programming) is challenging but with practice, you can master it. I appreciate that you have sought other sources (youtube) to find a solution, that's a good one! I also recommend that just create/re-name one repository, within it, you can create your homework and put them in folders. Do not hesitate in contact any of the TAs if you have doubts. I could not find the link to the Gapminder exploration, let me know if I missed it up.
Your marks will be distributed later. Keep practising, well done!
