Allow library scanning (sequential barcode scanning and batch internet harvesting) #5

It would be nice to be able to scan all barcodes of our library and then do
an internet search on the gathered ISBN numbers...
Otherwise the process is quite tedious !

You can already do that using the "Barcode Scanner" application.
It allows you to do a google books search when you scan a book's barcode.

I think you can use both applications with each other so that they complete
themselves.

Yes, thank you for your suggestion, but my goal is to scan my whole library as
fast as
possible (scan one ISBN bar code, the next one, and so one), and then later,
possibly
when a wifi connection is available, fetch some more information from
internet)...

It would then be easier to scan a lot of books in a short time. As it is done
now, it
would take ages before being able to scan more than 300 books...

Using "book search" from the Barcode Scanner app, still only allows one book to
be
scanned in a sequence. It would be nice to have a continuous scan mode to
allow for
queuing of scans to be looked up.
