Optimize calculation of D matrix, especially relevant when FCD or SO is used.

r871 is devoted to this. Extra time for FCD is less than one main iteration, 
and for
SO - about 2-3 iterations. SO can be further improved, but first we should make
something useful out of it.

So I consider this issue fixed.
