Weird. I had this "bash fork bomb" recently multiple times on Ubuntu1604 for another tool (ncdu) on only one cluster machine. Would be very interesting to find the cause.
Update to autojump-22.5.3 to fix https://github.com/wting/autojump/issues/391
After a update from Debian 8 to Debian 9 autojump is not working anymore. It behaves now like a fork bomb, creating hundredths of bash processes until the servers dies out of memory. I also don't get any results from autojump, It looks in the command promt like it is stuck.
I tried to reinstall, but that did not help. It worked before fine on Debian 8. I installed it with apt-get from the default Debian packages.
Some Log Reports shortly after typing "j foldername"
there are a lot more lines that contain bash.
