The application is part of the samtools suite. It can be used both as samtools ampliconstats or plot-ampliconstats so adding the second for compatibility with pipelines

These images are for tests requiring iRODS clients, not for production. Is samtools being used here as a client to do plots directly from iRODS in some tests?
