Wait to long for the dead node during the discovery #117

Now, if a node is dead, it will take a little while to wait for its ack and then go for the next node. We may try to make the timeout shorter to make the discovery process faster.

What's the current setting of timeout? The timeout should be set to accommodate the timeout of communication protocol and other factors. It cannot be an arbitrary number.
