3.4.0 getting notarising errors #1036

same bug as this: https://github.com/wulkano/kap/issues/770

macOS version: macos big sur 11.6 13 inch m1, 2020 Kap version: 3.4.0.

Steps to reproduce

  1. download https://github.com/wulkano/Kap/releases/download/v3.4.0/Kap-3.4.0.dmg
  2. install it
  3. try to launch it... cant because error described in #770
  4. need to launch it with ctrl + right click + open.

Issue persists in Kap 3.4.1 with macOS Monterey 12.0.1.

@sindresorhus Tried it just now. Same result (under macOS Monterey 12.0.1):

Kap version 3.4.2 Kap cannot be opened

Still seeing this issue in Kap 3.5.1 with macOS Monterey 12.1.

The notarisation issue should be fixed, can you post a screenshot of the error you are seeing @TrevorBurnham?

Kap 3.5.1 Kap can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software
