This program requires Python requests 2.2.0 or later.? I have 2.7 installed #699

I just ran the following 3 commands:

python setup.py build python setup.py install linkchecker

And the first two were going on well.

Did I do something wrong?

On MacOSX 10.12.2 terminal. Python 2.7 installed already.

i think this is fixed in the latest git version (https://github.com/wummel/linkchecker/commit/c2ce810c3fb00b895a841a7be6b2e78c64e7b042)

When will this change be released in a new version?

anarcat commented 7 years ago

real soon now! we have created a new organization in https://github.com/linkcheck/linkchecker/issues/1 and hope to shift development there now.

fuzzy76 commented 7 years ago

Ran into this as well. How can I fix it?

anarcat commented 7 years ago

try the real https://github.com/linkcheck/linkchecker/

@anarcat you should state in the Readme that you've shifted the development to the new repo. And release a new version to Pypi

anarcat commented 7 years ago

if i could change the README here, we wouldn't have forked in the first place. and there's an issue open for pypi on the linkcheck repo, your help is welcome of course.

Thank you for the issue report. Sadly this project is dead, and a new team is around with https://github.com/linkcheck/linkchecker for more details please see: #708 Also please close this issue and report it freshly on the new repo https://github.com/linkcheck/linkchecker/issues
