Wow, couldn't believe the jarun, the man behind buku and googler, would be here. Been a big fans of them cli apps, thanks for them.
And regarding color combo, indeed color scheme (and separated config & statesaving files) came to mind some times ago, but I got bad sector in my HDD, so I lost everything in a partition containing epr development note and it's been too long since the last time I check epr github page. But now since I just upgraded to SSD, I'll try to get back at it soon. Tho probably I'll start with simple dark/light switch.
And thanks for recommending epr in nnn plugins, totally appreciate it.
Oh and a fun little fact: Buku, as you stated, means close to heart in your language. But in my language (Indonesian) it means book.
Just doing my part to make the terminal great again! ;)
I really like epr
and nowadays I'm reading Edgar Allan Poe in it using the gutenread
plugin. It would really help if I could tweak the colors a little.
But in my language (Indonesian) it means book.
Yes, I heard it earlier too. Still makes sense given bookmarks originated from books. :)
Hello there, just added dark/light color switch... Though for now it only involves 2 colors, foreground and bakcground, no syntax highlighting. And customizing those colors can only be done inside the source.
See the updated README.MD...
Cool!
I love the light color scheme! Can you please add a program option to pass the value so users don't have to press c
each time they open the reader?
Updating the thread in case you have missed the request for a program option...
Even a rudimentary support would improve the readability greatly. Many thanks in advance.
Just FYI, terminal file manager
nnn
now has a plugin to read books from Project Gutenberg: https://github.com/jarun/nnn/blob/master/plugins/gutenreadepr
is the suggested utility for those who (like myself) prefer the epub format.Great utility! Keep up the good work!
