Problem when connecting via proxy

Steps to reproduce the problem.

1.add in /home/user/.bashrc  proxy settings (export 
http_proxy='http://usr:password@address:port' with authentification (user and 
password))
2.then google contacts list 
3. set a title then press enter
4. Then I have this Output

Please specify title: Hello
Traceback (most recent call last):

ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: 'password@address'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No problem must occur

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? What
version of gdata-python-client (aka python-gdata)?
Python-2.5
gdata-2.0.12
