Device type and model (or SN)

Midea

The description of new feature

in the official application there are 2 features that this integration does not have:

The option to choose the fan speed from 1% to 1%. That is to say to be able to set the speed to 23% or 31%... here only leaves some preconfigured: Silent 20 - Low 40 - Medium 60 - High 80 - Full 100 - Auto

The official application allows you to choose the fixed position of the orientation blades. I.e. you can choose if you want the blades to be fixed in high position or in low position etc... While in this integration you can only choose whether they are moving or stopped. And when you choose stopped they stop in the position in which they are at that moment. It only leaves only the mode of the slider oscillation: Off, Vertical, Horizontal, Both.

do you plan to introduce them in future revisions ??

features should based on device types, as you don't show any device types, so I'm not sure with your devices.

for fan speed, you can define the steps, just follow the documents links in README: https://github.com/wuwentao/midea_ac_lan?tab=readme-ov-file#configure

in addition, just follow our issue template and add the details with your issue title and device info, thanks.

Could you explain it a little more? What do you mean?

@javifly

  1. for fan speed feature, you can define a step to change the default setting, just refer to the documents, and you should refer to the documents based on your device type, you don't provide it to us.

  2. for the oscillation, it also have some option and support, but it based on device type and device details, as we don't know the device info and you also not provide your device detail to us, so we can do nothing for you.

all the info and discussion should based on a fixed device type and device detail , you don't provide it to us, so we can't follow with your requirements.

My devices are:

I leave a manufacturer's brochure: https://www.midea.es/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/20FPM_ESFREN_DOM_MULTI_XTREME-SAVE-ES.pdf

The same thing happens in all 3 models:

thanks for your device info, you should using standard 0xAC device.

  1. for the fan speed and step, we can improve it in future, it's a feature enhancement.
  2. for the blades position, it's really a missed feature, it should be add as a new feature, we will try to add it once current version is stable for most of current support devices.

I will change your issue title to: feature: support to set fan speed/step and fan blades position for 0xAC device
