It was the year 2020. Mankind faces a new threat on an unprecedented scale in the form of a virus outbreak. The virus C-19 was capable of multiplying fast in a matter of days over a large populace. Upon encountering it for the first time, countless lives have been taken, a great deal of cities quarantined, and eventually razed to the ground to prevent the virus from spreading further. Despite all of those efforts, their numbers kept on rising, to the point humanity was on the brink of extinction.

As all hope was lost, what remained of humanity united within the remaining countries unaffected by the virus, and gathering the brightest minds together, created the first of the bio-mechs series. They were capable of eradicating the foreign invaders that threatened to destroy all of humanity. The bio-mechs were powerful bioweapons that were able to instantly adapt according to their pilots’ preferences.

However, since they were constructed from the flesh of the dead viruses, the pilots were required to be injected with a substance called PZR-2021 into their bloodstream in order to synchronize with their mechs. As the bio-mechs were excellent in combating the C-19, the scientists responsible for their creation started to notice a flaw. As time passed by, the pilots’ health gradually started deteriorating and they began experiencing symptoms such as muscle sores, headaches, nausea, and lastly a comma before finally dying from whole body paralysis.

Upon hearing about this issue, the higher-ups decided to genetically modify the next generation of children, scientifically named, Homo-Animalia. these new species of children were given an organ capable of distributing the PZR-2021 without causing the chemicals to become toxic within the host’s body. These children were then sent to schools specialized in training future pilots of the new Mechanimals in order to defend what remained of humanity.

Renji Taiga was one of the first ones to graduate from that academy. Although a bit frisky and hot headed, she finally has the chance to show-off what the next generation of human-animal hybrid pilots and the newly made Mechanimals are capable of.
