Build instructions? #8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Check out the code
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would expect there to be some kind of build instructions, or a description of 
how this source tree relates to e.g. the OpenArena SVN, ioquake3, etc. Is this 
information in a wiki page that I didn't find? How do I get OAX up and running?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Some ubuntu variant, 64-bit.

There is now a description in 
http://openarena.wikia.com/wiki/OpenArena_eXpanded 
It is also referenced in the readme 
https://github.com/OpenArena/gamecode/blob/master/README.md so that it can 
actually be found. 

It could possible be improved but it should be enough to get started. A 
description of the source three would be nice to but I am afraid it is a bit 
out in the future.
