installing DSS package #28

Having trouble installing DSS package. Cycled through R 4.4 and R 4.3 versions using Bioconductor versions 3.18, 3.17. Also tried to install from DSS.tar.gz, but w/o success. All other packages needed for the tutorial installed fine. If possible, I do not want to follow the close route. I would rather find a solution to the DSS issue. Might learn another bit of tool-kit info for future use.
