@FinstP Thank you very much for your input on your use case. There is currently no option for a calendar view yet, but I'll take that into consideration and implement that in a future update of Personal Diary. Hopefully that would be helpful!
The calendar view was already available in beta for a while, but we would like more testing to verify its stability and user experience. To anyone browsing this thread, if possible, do contribute feedback here or via email.
The calendar view is activated via the toggle at the bottom left of the Timeline. To allow use of the toggle, you may do either of the following:
Download the public beta:
Go to the Personal Diary app > Settings > "Advanced Settings" > "Get Beta Releases", then download the beta.
Edit the internal app settings (works in both stable and beta) to enable it by default:
a. Navigate to the Personal Diary app > Settings > "Advanced Settings"
b. Turn On "Developer Mode"
c. Tap "Advanced Operations"
d. Type settings_edit
.
e. Type the key $defaultTimelineHeaderViewMode$
and value 1
.
f. Turn Off "Developer Mode"
Maybe just me, but I don’t understand how to use this as a diary! To me a diary is something to record information that I want to see quickly at some time in the future. Since i don’t make such entries every day, I don’t necessarily know the exact day when entries were made. So my problem is how do I see a broad, calendar type view with indications of when entries were made?
