Ps1 stopped working with video #338

Xstation was working fine for 2 years and recently it started displaying weird behaviour like required a few restarts to get it to boot up.

Today it totally stopped booting up. The blue led lighted up but it was black screen all the way. reseated the cables but it wasn’t working. What can contribute to this error?

Hey, this is a pretty generic error description. It could be a cold solder joint on the QSB that finally disconnected, or maybe the APLL wire is touching metal ground, etc. It does sound like an electrical issue though, where it's bad enough that the entire system doesn't get to output video. Check all the solder work thoroughly!
