is this project still active? Last release is in 2021.

Round-sync development has also paused for now. There is RSAF - An Android Storage Access Framework document provider for rclone which actually supports random reads/writes unlike rcx/round-sync. In my testing it required manually disabling battery optimizations for this app for it to support movie streaming.
