Pinging people interested in gist.io #1

Hey everyone :) I'm pinging you here because you've expressed interest in gist.io, which is currently not working and has only been sporadically maintained in the past. I've created this fork because I like the idea and wanted to keep it alive. I'd welcome contributions in form of code, but also in form of testing and using the site.

Why bother? There's http://www.roughdraft.io/, it works fine and is well-maintained by @jedfoster.

@lolmaus I find the design of roughdraft not at all appealing and the URL is too long for my taste. Also I don't think it's generally a bad idea to have more than one tool for the same job ;) Kudos though to @jedfoster to have created a project which people call well-maintained! :+1:

Looks good. Just need to add some styling.

@nwjlyons For some reason there was a CSS file missing from the heroku deployment. Styling is back now :smile:

Grateful for this! I share your thoughts about the otherwise admirable roughdraft.io - impressive, but it's a case (for me) of gilding the lily. Too bad Idan didn't (minimally) maintain gist.io, but this is why things have OS licenses, I reckon! :clap:
