I didn't get exactly what was the intended meaning of this sentence. This pull request is only a guessed proposition. It might not be what you thought about when writing this plugin comment.

Good job in finding the somewhat cryptic source-code doc.

I guess I just wanted to say that one can change the parameters in real-time while the delay is active without any side effects.
