I actually don't know where kimz' original thread was. Do you have a link? [edit] I just realised I linked to it, how stupid of me.
In terms of OIs, I literally just apply show on weaker foot + hard tackling to all, then additionally close down and tight mark the wingers (or wing-backs if there are no wingers. I haven't done much testing into OIs. However, FM08 has a mini-exploit where there are so few cards shown, so there is little downside to hard tackling everyone. I suppose "show onto weaker foot" might be sub-optimal for two-footed players, but I can't be bothered to check each player, and two-footedness is weighted so heavily in FM08, that these players usually have terrible attributes overall, so it doesn't matter.
The difference between kimz and I is that I close-down wingers/wing-backs, and don't tight-mark everyone. Does it make a difference? Genuinely not sure. However, I prefer closing-down the wingers, since I find this wins me the ball back faster. I will need to experiment with kimz' instructions.
Why didn't I follow them? Because... I found the thread after experimenting. I used what worked for me.

First of all, thanks very much for this. I managed to find Kimz V3 before I came across yours and used it for 2/3 of the season and it wasn't great, was getting beat against good teams (I'm using Liverpool).
Just tested your tactic in 4 games (two of which were Vs Man Utd and Barcelona) and I won all 4!
Anyway, on to my question. Do we use the opposition Instructions Kimz mentioned in his original tactic thread, with your tactic, or do we not use OI at all with yours?
