XBim explorer doesn't release memory #173

Hello, When I open an IFC file with the Xbim Xplorer I can see that the process consume more or less than 1 Gb, but if I close the model but keep the viewer open, this memory is not freed and stay at the same level.

Is there a way to force the release of the cache memory when closing the file ? Thank you

Hi,

I've noticed that, but I don't think it's a leak. If you open and close models several times, memory stays the same.

I'm not sure if forcing a garbage collection after you close a model, would reduce memory occupation.

If you do find, instead, that memory keeps growing opening and closing models, please let us know.
