Frodo encodes URL parameters and breaks addons

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start VideoDevil
2. select any site
3. press enter/OK

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect: a list of pr0n

get: no visible reaction

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
tested:
latest as of 07.12.2012 (SVN) + .42-.45
XBMC Frodo Beta 1 repack @ Windows 8

Please provide any additional information below.
