Compact Solar Panels #839

Suggestions for new mods include

Advanced Solar Panels Addon : allows for solar panels and other upgrades that make IC2 more enjoyable in the endgame.

And Dartcraft once bluedart finished updates for 1.7.10

Also a map that could view the entire overworld would be nice.

Adding "Advanced Solar Panels" is a bit useless, as we have Compact Solar Panels. Same for a "map" as we have the "VoxelMap". As for Dartcraft, it's currently not even updated to 1.7.10, so there's not much to talk about anyway. Thanks for suggesting :)

Compact solar panels does not have a molecular transformer which is the pinnacle of IC2 add on tech. Extremely useful and just all around cool. The molecular transformer makes the IC2 iridium more realisitic in production. Also allows production of glowstone, personally I find the stuff that's naturally in nether aesthetic and its nice to see it not all mined. I don't really use the solar panels as big reactors is more productive. So the issue is not the type of panel it is the molecular transformer. Also it allows for redstone block and lapis block to be used as crafting materials for large creations in chisel. Which leads to one of the best reasons to use the molecular transformer, it allows for some renewable materials to create non renewable resources with reduces the need to restart the server due to resource over withdraw. Magical crops provides another method, however the molecular transformer is a nice tech and its cool so we should have it instead of solar panels no one uses anyway because of big reactors mod. And it creates a way to make certus quartz for AE2.

As an alternative mod to advanced solar, compact solar is not as good due to lack of molecular transformer. Please give this serious consideration. Right now you have one of the best mod packs and the only thing I can see missing is the molecular transformer. Will donate for addition.

Maybe im just not using map right but i cant figure out how to make voxel display enough of the map to navigate the world. Even the X function only gives me a map a few chunks wide. M seems to be mapped to galacticraft.

About the map - change the hotkey of "minimap menu" in the controls manu :)

Got the hotkey changed it was double mapped. Thanks for the tip. What do you think about adding the molecular transformer? Also dartcraft may be coming back soon for 1.7.2 so hold your breath...lol https://twitter.com/bluedartpro/status/596066157313925120

Ive talked to many on a few 1.7.10 servers and i am hearing a lot of support for the molecular transformers. Quite a few also suggested Chromaticraft. Also the old techworld server is dieing, and your pack is the most similar.

Currently won't be added. The mod is cool but its time has pass. Thanks anyway for suggesting.
