Vive Support #52

Hello xLAva,

i loved JK2 my life long and for me it would be a dream to experence it again in VR.

Actually i have made a simple setup with vorpx and its kinda playable, but im not a programmer so i cant change things like camera movements in cutscenes.

is there any chance that this mod gets a vive support? I tried to start it with ReVive but it doesnt work.

The problem is, that I don't have a Vive to test with at the moment. Blind development is a bit cumbersome. Especially if you have to integrate the support on a very low level.

If I ever have access to a set of Vive headsets, I will integrate it at once.

Bad for me to hear you dont have a vive.

Why not ask for help from a Vive owner? You don't have to do this yourself.

I'd ask for help to the REVIVE developper ...

Often it has to add support for new games released.

It looks like some support has been added with OpenVR in this build here: https://github.com/xLAva/JediOutcastLinux/tree/VR-Touch/binary/win32

I can report that it hooks SteamVR, and the monitor displays side by side video, and shows that head tracking is working on my Vive, but the headset shows nothing but black.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help!
