Xlights stops and produces a report when I try to copy and paste #4559
I am trying to add several mini-trees. When I copy and paste, the program stops when I paste. It seems to only happen always when I use "command" V to paste on my mac-book. It happens sometimes when I use menu>file>paste.
I have tried it with different objects (Tree, snowflake, singing bulb). All get the same results.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
(and/or link to a short video showing the problem with audio track describing what you are doing)
Be in the layout tob
click on an object (snowflake, minitree, whatever)
while holding down the command key and push the "c" key to copy
click somewhere else in your layout - an empty space
Hold down the command key and type the "V" key to paste
Immediately you get a message from xlights.
If you haven't already, please turn on the system settings to share crash data with the app developers.
To do that, go to:
System Preferences -> Security and Privacy -> Privacy -> Analytics & Improvements
and turn on the "Share Mac Analytics" setting and also the "Share with App Developers" setting.
This provides more information to the xLights developers than just our normal crash logs.
When you press "OK" in the text pop-up box, everything closes.
A debug report is generated. Press OK and it is sent.
Reopen xLights
click on an object
go to menu > File > Copy
click elsewhere in the layout that is empty.
go to menu > file> paste
a copy of the object appears. Sometimes this works. Sometimes it crashes. Sometimes I get lucky and can copy and paste.
