You can a) search using the filter option or b) click on the column header to sort up/down. Once you sort you can't go back to original order within that import.
Alex,
The Find (not Filter) appears to only find models not sub models. The sub-models do not sort by name within a model, only the models are sorted.

The sub models are displayed on a model in the order they are defined (render order) on the model and requires extensive scrolling on HD props until aliases can be defined.
Describe the solution you'd like When importing a right click on a model would allow you to sort the model by the render order or by name. An xLights preference could be setup to choose the existing render order or choose the sorted order . This would be only for display purposes and allow for easier imports and defining aliases especially on HD props.
