Issues With Custom Models #4799

Not sure if this would be considered a bug or a feature request or both but I have a couple of problems with the custom model.

You can not have a custom model with more than 48 strings.

This made sense originally when the max ports a controller could have is 48 ports but now with smart receivers, it is possible to have a model that could have more than that. ex. a Falcon f48v4 can do 6 smart receivers in a chain and have a total of 12 chains so the possible port count for that is 288. I know logically you wouldn't do this but it is technically possible and I am doing a layout where a custom model needs 90 ports. This is split between 2 controllers and that leads into the next issue.

You can not set up individual start channels for your strings.

it is possible to do this on every other model just not a custom model.

2 ... correct... since the strings have to be continous, you only set the start for the first pixel.

Did you mean Start Nodes? That you should be able to do.

No I mean the Indiv Start Chans section that is on every other model. I know I can do Start Nodes but not individual Start Channels per string.

You say it has to be continuous the nodes are 1-15840 but at node 7921 it needs to start on a separate controller. I am having another problem with the controller visualizer bug #4800 so I am doing it as shadow modes for each port but I want 1 big model and I can't because node 7921 starts not on the next physical channel as there is some other stuff in the middle and to make it work I need to set individual start channels.

I would place that on a controller .. to be sure it is doing what you want/expect. Those are just place holder start channels.

@derwin12 I know that is the default. I was showing what section I was talking about. That part is not available for a custom model.
