Do you have an idea or an example of how this would work either from a dev perspective? Either that or a use case or a PoC?
no idea ;D
ideally, im thinking some sort of archive
/themes/ -- /theme_name/ -- -- /languages/ -- -- /views/ -- -- /styles/ -- -- -- /style1/ -- -- -- -- /assets/ -- -- -- -- /views/ -- -- -- /style2/ -- -- -- -- /assets/ -- -- -- -- /views/ -- -- -- /style3/ -- -- -- -- /assets/ -- -- -- -- /views/ -- -- site_header.tpl -- -- site_footer.tpl -- -- details.php
essentially, i wanna be able to have a few different designs & color schemes grouped with the same base theme, so you can acheive different looks and such without having to go all out & owning the original theme file, extending it to customize it from an admin perspective would also be useful
Closing this one. Themes have been implemented again, can be looked at again in the future as not needed atm.
I think we should be able to set the themes up slightly better so designers can package multiple versions of themes together, usually different color schemes. We should find away to incorporate this into the CMS as a whole.
