Invalid command provided in the UG #9

Open xMashedxTomatox opened 2 years ago

This program has commands that work in detailed view and commands that don't. Upon entering a command that works only in detailed view but not otherwise, it shows an error message that an invalid command has been entered. It would have been more appropriate to state that these commands can only work in detailed view rather than an invalid command as it is a valid command.

Team's Response

  1. This is indeed an invalid command format for the list view, as specified in the screenshot sent by the tester. This command format should be only used in the detailed view, and is an invalid command in the list view.

Items for the Tester to Verify

 Issue response

Team chose [response.Rejected]

Reason for disagreement: I am arguing that this is a feature flaw that causes confusion to the user. The Team's response This command format should be only used in the detailed view, and is an invalid command in the list view. or a shortened version of this would be good to put in the error message. The title of my bug report might have been misleading as i actually thought that this was an invalid command initially due to the lack of information.

 Issue severity

Team chose [severity.VeryLow] Originally [severity.Low]

Reason for disagreement: Without understanding that there is two different sets of command that works separately depending on list/detailed view, it is very easy for user to get very confused as i did. This causes enough inconvenience that it should not be considered very low.
