ioantsaf commented 3 years ago

Are you also using BIOS v300 for the OpenCore version?

I have unlocked CFG and entered the personal information, but can’t seem to boot neither the installed Catalina nor the Big Sur installer.

I almost immediately get a kernel panic after selecting the boot option.

Hi @xXConcasXx, I was trying to make an OpenCore EFI for this very same machine... It's working, but only when I connect my laptop to an external display. If I try to use my internal display, it get's stuck in gIOScreenLockState 3 error...

Did you faced the same issue? If so... how did you fix it? Thank you so much for your work!

I had your same problem some time ago, I fixed it by using device-id "00001619" and no AAPLigplatformid, but unfortunately this ultimately results in constantly having 31mb of vram and no graphic acceleration. I'm still waiting for someone to find a fix for that, it looks like enable-hdmi "01000000", which fixed it for me on Catalina, is not functioning on Big Sur and thus I couldn't find another way to completely fix graphics.

EFI.zip ↑↑download this efi file 1' unlock CFG 2' personal information with smbios, serial number ... and M1 macbook pro is so amazing!

how did you unblock CFG? if the changes are in the posted efi, it is not correct, AppleXcpmCfgLock is enabled, if CFG is unlocked in the AppleXcpmCfgLock bios it must be 0. Your EFIs that you posted are incorrect, you have patched dsdt for lighting and trackpad, not very good.

The bios 300 does not have the option to unlock cfg, it should be replaced with a modified bios, I tried to modify it with CFG unlocked, but there is a security system that verifies the size in bytes of .bios file by not letting it be installed, if anyone he knows more about the topic, he might succeed, and maybe post it.

Concass is not present during this period. I send a correct Efi, it has been tested for a month with Catalina without problems, it starts the installation with Big Sur, thanks to WEG 1.4.6.(enable 4k monitor with flag -igfxmpc, the FHD model was already working), but I personally haven't installed it, if anyone wants to try it, if anyone wants to be beta testing it should have no problem

To make it work perfectly: 1) smbios 13.1 (if you have 13.3 hdmi doesn't work) 2) bcrm94360cs2 (no patches) 3) disable hibernation (use hackintool or terminal ). 4) enter the data of your smbios

Have you tried the EFI?

Yes I tried, 1- there are error shown in beginning but continue boot without problem:- OCS: Failed to calculate size of false field containing (empty) as type integer, OCS: no Scheme for Dedupilcate Bootorder at 0 index, context {quirks} 2- resolution at opencore boot need to be adjusted 3-need to add Airportitlwm.text for Intel wifi card.

That is all for me.

have you replaced all the efi? or just a few pieces of mine attached? nvram is reading you an older version of opencore. copy entirely my efi with only your smbios values and in the boot reset the nvram. probably, you took the attached efi and replaced your config. alternatively you followed the instructions but used an outdated opencore configurator, it is recommended to use xcode

yes, that's probably the error, you need to add nvmefix.kext. in opencore it must also be integrated in the config.plist

you used opecoreconfigurator to change platforminfo data, it created a mess, you have to use xcode. battery drains first for CPUFriendDataProvider.kext confiuration, it is set to increase cpu power, this laptop battery is not good, usually I always use it in AC, then I send you CPUFriendDataProvider.kext for the duration battery

Unfortunately, the problem remains even with nvmefix.kext and sip disabled (I double checked that everything was done correctly in config.plist).

Another strange and maybe related problem is that macOS Installer won't let me install on an APFS formatted drive, telling me a firmware update is needed and to choose macOS Extended (Journaled) instead (which is weird, it has never happened to me before).

Suggestions?

Worked like a charm! I got to the Desktop and the installation seems fully working up until now.

I will further test in the next days and try some edits (for example removing the touchid kext, I don't need it).

As of now, thank you very much for your hard work! It's very appreciated and I'll consider donating when I'll have the chance!
