Issue with the PS2 Classics GUI

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post the issue or not because this says PS3 tools but this is where the "Log an Issue" link directed me. When I update to the newest version it says "1.0.0.0" at the top and not 1.0.0.10 like I see in the tutorial videos by various users. When I check the release notes it says 1.0.0.19 but I'm not sure if I'm running the latest. Anyway, when I try to use the JAK emu, it tells me to download it and I do and then I get an error when trying to make a package from the NTSC copy of Silent Hill Origins. I backed it up from my own physical copy and it's untouched. When I use the default emu it makes the PGK correctly but Origins has an issue with the left analog stick unless it's emulated with the JAK emu. Also, any time I select the JAK emu from the settings it tells me I need to download it again even though it said it was downloaded and applied after the first time. Here's the error!

Hi There , Thank you for posting I saw your tweet as well.

I'm not completely sure whats going on with the JAX emu as it seems to be something to to with when i extracted the emu.

I do know that I ask the user to re download it I will apply a check and a maybe a system to check to check if its the latest version or give the user the option to re download it

I will keep you updated here on my findings.

Quick Update I've changed a bit of how the program works Version number should work now again since we no longer require admin access to run this was only used to install the fonts for the applications. Change made to check if the Jax and Daxter emu folder exists if it does it will just ask you to re-download the emu Will be working on the self issue users are currently having keeping this open for now until the bug on the emu is fixed

Hi The reason for this was so that if something does happen to the emu that a user can just redownload it once its fixed as I'm planning on adding more and its better imho to have a smaller sized app than having users download the whole 300+mb app because of it just containing 3 emu;s

Hi yes that's accurate we tried to do a community collaboration where I can pull files directly from his GitHub and place them in os2 classics

I haven't forgot about your other issue ... i should have some free time this weekend then ill try and finish the repack

The reason I asked about the config files is because there's one for fixing the issue with the X Files games with missing models but I still had the issue with the pkg when I played it.

It only took a month and a half but good news Jax And Daxter Successfully builds in the new Release of PS2 Classics Version 25 should be out soon

When I make a pkg with the JAK emu it seems to create it correctly but when I install it on the PS4 it won't load past the background image after selecting the game. If I create the pkg with the default emu it loads fine.

Actually when I create the game using the default emu with version 25, after the splash screen for the game I get the error "the saved data is corrupted. The saved data will be deleted, and a new saved data will be created" and when I press OK it just keeps coming back with the same error.

Silent Hill Origins (NTSC). I ripped the ISO from my physical copy. I made a pkg with your previous build of the PS2 Classics GUI using the default EMU and it booted into the game no problem. The left analog stick didn't work in that pkg because that's an issue presented in this specific game when the pkg is made with any emu besides the JAK emu. This is what prompted me to open this ticket originally.

Ok! So The Jax and Daxter V1 emu works. I made the pkg and it plays and seems to run perfectly. I also noticed that the PKG file has the actual name of the game now and not just the long string of characters; I love that because it saves me the time of changing it myself. I also noticed that the Playstation 2 splash screen isn't stretched on this game: I'm not sure if this is something you did or if it's just because of the game itself. :) When I tried to make the pkg with the Jax and Daxter V2 it would just give me an error saying "Please redownload Jax & Daxter V2 from settings it seems the Zip file is missing" and then when I press "ok" it just closes out the program and no matter how many times I tried to download it, it did the same thing. Also, you might want to change "Jax" to Jak - not sure if you had that spelt that way on purpose but just figured I'd point it out. :) I also noticed that it's still telling me to download each emu if i switch back to them from another one even if I'm switching to one I've already downloaded. We discussed this previously so I assume you're still working on it. Awesome work though! Thanks so much!

i have version 1.0.0.26 on my windows 10 and for the life of me it wont finish creating pkg. it keeps stopping while moving iso and I have plenty of memory. I also need to know where to set temp path.

Oh yeah the default emulator works just fine, but Jak and Daxter one always fails with that error.
