Problem encountered on https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/xamarin/hello-world-tutorial/run Operating System: windows

Problem: I am using the Tutorial.

In the emulator I see a blank form flash up then disappear. When clicking on Debug I get:

Did you setup an emulator https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/xamarin/android/get-started/installation/android-emulator/

jamesmontemagno commented 2 years ago

Or maybe try to run without debugging

awesomeqed commented 2 years ago

The emulator was setup and running. I have since fixed it.

  1. I realised that I needed to build the solution and not just the application
  2. I also used a different tutorial https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/xamarin/get-started/quickstarts/app?pivots=windows I believe that was the issue Thanks for the assistance.
