Visual Studio 2019 freezes when cleaning F# iOS project #10448

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create new F# iOS app in Visual Studio 2019, e.g. "Single View App (iOS)"
  2. Right click on project in Visual Studio and select "Clean"

Expected Behavior

Project should clean successfully.

Actual Behavior

Visual studio locks up completely and needs to be killed from the Task Manager.

I originally reported this over at Fabulous, but @TimLariviere subsequently determined that this wasn't a problem specific to Fabulous and likely relates to Visual Studio F# iOS projects in general. He suggested I report here. I have also now been able to reproduce this issue with the non-Fabulous F# iOS project template, as described above.

I cannot duplicate this using Visual Studio for Mac. Re-assigned to XVS to diagnose.

Also getting this issue though I had assumed it to be related to https://github.com/xamarin/xamarin-macios/issues/11325 but it seems not since this Issue pre-dates the current broken release of VS.
