macOS share extension doesn't show any interface #10911

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Build a project with share extension (sample is provided but it works with any project)
  2. Try to share from Safari

Expected Behavior

The user interface of the share extension is shown.

Actual Behavior

Nothing happens.

Took me a while to reproduce it, but I can confirm the bug as a regression. Will share the version in a future comment.

Will we ever see that future? If the same thing did not work on iOS you would probably either have to fix it in a week or the project would meet a heavy backlash.

On the Mac this doesn't work for almost two years (no extensions worked for some time before I have submitted this issue so it is much longer than just time of this bug). I would understand even if you decided to pull the support for this (as I have suggested in one other issue), but claiming that you support this by having the specific project type in Visual Studio and the fact that it doesn't work for so long is extremely unprofessional.
