On Windows, using Link attribute on Info.plist reference in .csproj fails #13542

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a project that has a link attribute on the Info.plist reference. For example <None Include="Info-DEBUG.plist" Link="Info.plist" />
  2. Compile the project on a Windows machine.
  3. Deply and run.

Expected Behavior

The app runs and successfully deploys.

Actual Behavior

The error Xamarin.iOS cannot find the application manifest. Please ensure the project contains a manifest file named 'Info.plist'.

(This works fine on VS for Mac).

Hi, @GalaxiaGuy - thanks for opening this issue.

@emaf FYI this a windows-only msbuild bug. Chris thinks we're not copying files with link properly?

I faced this issue today as well. :( . Not sure why it happens.

@tuyen-vuduc if you could get a binary build log (binlog) - https://github.com/xamarin/xamarin-macios/wiki/Diagnosis#binary-build-logs - we could investigate.

@rolfbjarne The output window doesn't have all detailed. I found out that because of a change in my custom TARGETS file. I managed to get it work again.
