RS & RH seems ok, followings are unknown:

  1. RR feasibility
  2. builder head mounting interface
xanxys commented 7 years ago

and

  1. optical encoder

1.

Unlike A / B, it's not possible to arbitrary rotate o-axis. Thus, it needs to be continuous rotation (DC motor or stepper motor). Whether it can be open loop or need to be closed loop is unknown.

Space-wise this is fixable problem.

2.

Dump arm will be a lot different

It seems possible to create small holes in the main cylinder. Another candidate is the outer guide rail.

1.

Driver design is fixed. Whether we need sensor, or clever open-loop driving is enough, is TBD.

Circular rail rotary latch design seems ok. Need to incorporate to the rail

TBD

3.

Current candidate is one symmetrical hole at the center, w/ 2 sensors offsetted to T+ and T-.

RH collision with head / tail (PCB): #8 Seems fixable (though not trivial), defer to later.

Work out sensor details to unblock worker 2.1 PCB.
