This is a fixed version of https://github.com/xapi-project/xcp-idl/pull/321 that was reverted by https://github.com/xapi-project/xcp-idl/pull/325.

The CI error seems unrelated to my changes.

The CI got fixed on the latest master head, could you rebase the PR?

The code is not being maintained in this repo anymore, right now is in https://github.com/xapi-project/message-switch/ and we are trying to get it into xen-api in the end

Okay so should I redo a PR in message-switch or wait for the 2nd migration in xen-api? :)

let's get other people to review the PR and after that is done we can reopen it in message-switch, it should be a fast merge then.
