Scm updates #157

A few of the commits are marked DEV because they are pointing at my repos, those can be updated once their reviews are merged.

These changes don't work with SCM and I haven't been able to get to the bottom of the issue yet. I'll deal with this when I'm back in the office. The individual packages should still be ready to go, though. These issues are differences between the buildroot config I was using and what I am trying to commit.
