MP4 files never start playing #27

From Fedora 20, fully up to date, I can use castnow with a youtube url, but not with a local MP4 file.

Using --debug, the last status printed is "player status: ready". Not sure how to debug this further...

Some small MP4 videos I have do play. How can I diag the problem?

Can you dump the whole DEBUG trace into here?

This is essentially the same problem that I'm having!

debug trace just says

@sticilface I think your problem was not directly related to this issue here. Since in this issue some small mp4 files seem to work and in your case it didn't work at all.

I've got the same problem:

  castnow launching... +0ms
  castnow player status: loading plugins +4ms
  castnow player status: scanning +0ms
  castnow player status: connecting +1ms
  castnow player status: launching +109ms
  castnow player status: loading +1s
  castnow player error: [Error: Load failed] +2m
Error: Load failed

The same file Casts fine from a Chrome tab using the official extension.
