While setting up a new computer I noticed that command line tools without Xcode behaves "normally":
clang -print-search-dirs
programs: =/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/bin
libraries: =/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/lib/clang/9.0.0
And the right location is /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/lib/libclang.dylib
.
I don't think this is an issue anymore.
Feel free to review there request to allow arbitrary include locations though.
clang paths are very different in High Sierra (new Xcode)
I can manually point out to a particular libeling library path, but if this is getting too complicated, why not leaving the "builtin include path" as an optional setting too?
Actually that could be even better generic solution in case of new OS X layout changes.
