AirPlay video isn't working in Alpha 3, rolled back to ver 8.3. Does anyone have the same problem playing video from iPhone, iPad via AirPlay on Alpha3 ?

Firesphere commented 11 years ago

What version of iOS do you have on your iDevice?

Bob29113005 commented 11 years ago

6.0.1

Firesphere commented 11 years ago

iOS 6+ has changed something in the video airplay, which causes it to malfunction. For yet unknown reasons, it still works sometimes on older versions of XBMC. This is a known bug in XBMC.

Bob29113005 commented 11 years ago

why is it working fine in the previous ver. 8.3 ?

Firesphere commented 11 years ago

Because the XBMC team changed something in the beta, which broke it appearantly. We don't know and we hope XBMC will fix this in the next beta. We can't do much about it. Sorry. I suggest, if you use airplay heavily, you stick to 0.8.3 until it's fixed.

yep, I rolled back to 0.8.3, thanks for your input :)

We've got input on xbian.org that libplist1 is needed for Airplay to work in the XBian Alpha's. Can you guys confirm:

sudo apt-get install -y libplist1

EDIT: I was too hasty, airplay works now. Thanks !

What does "to play on xbian on my iPad" mean?

Trying to do straight audio from iTunes to XBMC -- not working here either.

Koenkk commented 11 years ago

Try if it works on XBian 1.0 Alpha 4 (to be released very soon). If it doesn't work there, please open a new issue.
