we discussed this with belese already a while ago and he even designed a generalised system meaning a matrix settings providing yes/no visibility for function/platform.
this probably should be now as 1st on 'todo' list. maybe we can ask anaconda to re-discuss with Belese and put it high level on paper somewhere.
in any way it should be integrated the same way as the -open- services list (easily user editable). and it was like this indeed.
it should be done with this commit : https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian-package-config-xbmc/commit/4614292a9706a90ccb413df80959d0ba3fedf05b
Also, is kernel is really needed at all, which user which switch kernel inside xbmc? Maybe other settings aren't needed anymore.
Kernel can be removed. Overclocking should be adapted to the new default overclock on the RPi.
If Overclocking values need to be updated, it's from xbian-config-shell, i retrieve the value from the api.
I'll remove Kernel for all.

Is this done?
It's good for us to know what commit fixes it. Can you point to them in the other issues you closed as well?
The following xbian-config modules should be removed on the CuBox-i:
Not sure if this is already adapted:
