I'm french, and my keyboard layout is azerty.
I successfully set the Kodi layout to "english azerty" (??), but this did not take the mapping into account.
I did try to change the layout in xbian-config, and did try to reconfigure the keyboard using :
dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
Even "loadkeys fr" did not work.
I then found the only installed locale was the "en" one, hence installing the console-data package and letting it autoconfigure allowed me to get a working azerty (fr) locale both in kody and in the console after leaving kodi.
