Hello,

I didn't found any open source upnp app and the Yatse remote can do it in paid version.

Is this about mobile device with kore streams its screen to a remote kodi instance? That would be an awesome feature!

Hergeirs commented 5 years ago

Thsi should be possible to implement. If you visit the Web interface using your browser you can click "download" and the files begins to play in a new tab. I'm just thinking if it's possible using the browser. Why shouldn't it be possible in the official app? Still this is by far the best remote for Kodi. Appreciate the work.

Maybe I misunderstood @stemy2, but I talked about: "screen of smartphone/tablet with kore" is streamed to "tv/pc with kodi". So you can easily show something on your smartphone (e.g. photos you just took) to a bigger audience on the big screen ;)

stemy2 commented 5 years ago

That's it. I talked about a functionality that would play media from phone to tv.

Hergeirs commented 5 years ago

Sorry. Seems i misunderstood. The paid version of Yatse also supports playing files from kodi library in the app :) That's probably what this issue #125 is about then.

PlainUPnP is open source and can be used to stream images to Kodi: https://github.com/m3sv/PlainUPnP

The project doesn't exist anymore.

The play store says it can't find the app url.

DLNA streaming would be very nice to have!
