I am running  Kodi Leia v18.5.  Your New inputstream.rtmp v2.07 requires kodi.binary.instance.inputstream v2.0.10, this is not available in Kodi v18.5, v2.0.8 is.  Please review the following parts of my Kodi Log. Thanx, Joseph

2020-01-30 04:19:40.341 T:3619   ERROR: CAddonInstallJob[inputstream.rtmp]: The dependency on kodi.binary.instance.inputstream version 2.0.10 could not be satisfied.

@AlwinEsch did miss something while releasing this? Should the inputstream version change in Leia?

sammydc77 commented 4 years ago

I would think it should change. I went to: http://mirrors.mit.edu/kodi/addons/leia/ and found your v2.0.6 and http://mirrors.mit.edu/kodi/addons/leia/script.kodi.android.update/ v1.1.17, though it installed I had hoped it may have updated the kodi.binary's, but no in Leia 18.5. The input stream is still at 2.0.8, I suspect it [inputpusteam v2.0.10] will not be available until Kodi v19 with Python v3.0. Just my thoughts...

By the way, I am a retired IT Senior Systems Specialist [25+ years building networks]. I like to review logs and keep a balance in systems, just an old habit and fun. This is my first thought of interacting with anyone on Github, regarding Kodi. I hope this helps. Also, Leia v18.5 does blowup after I try a Fox News or CNN Live Stream twice in a row, orr anything similar. Leia has not been updated [I am a Beta Member] since November

  1. I do not expect Kodi v19 will be release anytime soon.

I really admire and appreciate all that you guys do.

Regards,

Joseph

About your reported problem, Thanks a lot! Only noticed through you.

Unfortunately there was an accidental API change on Kodi Leia, see here "https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/16977", because this Leia version has not yet been released (but created an addon with it), this conflict arises.

Normally, a released version like Leia should never change the API to avoid such cases.

Here this change will be removed again "https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/17297" in order to avoid the problem with other addons. As soon as that is done we look at the version 2.0.7 replaced and probably also add a 2.0.8 (without own addon changes) to point out all Kodi's to something newer.

phunkyfish commented 4 years ago

Thanks for reporting @sammydc77. It might be that the changes added in the 2.0.7 release fix your streaming issue. So once we fix the API problem you can test it.

sammydc77 commented 4 years ago

Hello Alwin:

I appreciate your comments and thanks for the updates and professional timely response to all this. I will keep an eye of this issue and will report back to you, after the update.

Has you clicked on "Misc options" the "Check for updates", without it normally Kodi does his repo update only all 24 hours.

Kodi takes it from there: https://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/leia/inputstream.rtmp+android-aarch64/

I just got it... I did not know the "Check for updates" was available there. Now it will be a daily ritual. I have tried Indigo [v4.015 has issues and breaks/uninstalled after restart of Kodi], to force Repo updates, but it has never worked not work. I really appreciate your help and hard work with this issue. I will explore today and let you know, if I find any issues.

Thanx!

Check for updates should only be needed in cases like this. Otherwise kodi should auto update itself once daily.
