Sync failed redo unsynced changes #458

Describe the issue you are experiencing Sync failed redo unsynced changes every time i want to do anything using browser tools

How can the issue be reproduced?

  1. Add bookmark or
  2. Change name of bookmark or
  3. Bookmark group of tabs

I do get the same with Edge browser

I have the same issue. I use an extension called SuperSorter, to sort bookmarks alphabetically. However, each time I run the tool, I get the error above and my changes are reverted.
However, this happens when I use the native bookmark manager as well (I'm using Edge). I use the sort by name function but the changes are synced back.
I CAN add and remove bookmarks though.

Same error for me too. On firefox, Windows 10. And addon in firefox say : Something went wrong If the problem persists please report the issue.

This issue has been existing since 2020 as far as I see. The issue #265 is what I am talking about.
This project is a really valuable attempt to provide a way to keep our personal bookmarks in sync even across the browsers without collecting personal data. However some bookmarks become so important that nobody ever wants to lost them. Unfortunately this issue promotes data loss if the bookmarks haven't been backed up.
