Possible to use >=v4 in Open Source app with >10 users? #1598

If I understand the new license correctly, then it is not possible to use the free/community version of this library in an open source application which is used by more than 10 users. So the open source application has to stick with 3.8. The app is also non-commercial.

Is this correct?

Hi, This is what the license text says. But I suggest you contact Xceed at "sales@xceed.com" to give more details about your needs and see if you can be accommodated.

Thank you

To my understanding this will be limiting the use of the library to nearly everyone who develops FOSS as > 10 users is very common. In which case we have to purchase a commercial use license or hope you will work with us and give an exception.

In fact, we continue to encourage you to use the free community license to help you learn the WPF framework and for personal, non-profit projects.

I have not one non-profit project that has < 10 users (based on download count)

Based with the current wording of the license I have to find an alternative solution and I believe many in the community including contributors will agree that the > x users clause is very limiting for FOSS software.
